Welcome to Chrysalis Fine Fabrics & Furnishings. As Tallahassee’s largest decorative fabric shop, we are conveniently located in the heart of The Market District at 1410 Market St. next to Gypsy Rose and Higher Ground Bike Shop.

Owner Susan Hugunin grew up on the east coast of central Florida and has always had a great love (obsession) with all things textile related. She has a BS in Fashion Merchandising from Florida State University and a BA in Interior Design from Southern Institute of Design at Virginia College in Birmingham, AL. Susan and her husband Mike, moved to Tallahassee after his early retirement in 2003. They have two grown children and two 4-legged children, Romeo and George.

Since purchasing the 20 year old local business in 2005, Susan has assembled a talented team at Chrysalis to serve all the customer’s design needs.  You’ll soon discover that our main focus is excellent customer service. We are more than a designer fabric store – we really love what we do, and get tremendous satisfaction when we help our customers make their homes more beautiful. The end result is a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to create the designs of your dreams.

Our blog, House of Chrysalis is a ready reference and reflects our dedication to inform you of new trends, styles, products and to showcase how-to projects that will enhance the beauty of your home and help you express yourself.
